Woke up to the puppy licking my feet. This was his way of getting me to move and release the blankets in such a way that he could find his way out. See.. unless he crawls between the comforter and the electric blanket he can't get out via the end of the bed and therefore gets "lost" and whines until such time as I lift the blankets and he can find his way out.

I have dutifully reported to NYS department of Labor. called and checked in with the place I had the interview last week. The woman I interviewed with was in a meeting so I don't know what the status is with the company she was forwarding my resume to.

I also spent a bit of time sending out resumes via email to places that were listed in yesterday's paper and on the NYS Job Exchange website. I need to go get some more nice resume paper so I can mail out a bunch of resumes to places that do not accept emailed ones.

Plan for the rest of the day is to continue working on taking down the xmas decorations. Also need to do laundry (that is a chore that never ends unfortunately).

Tonight is trying to decide if I want to watch the new Terminator series or the special on the History channel about life after humans.

Hey, today being MLK day... is there postal service?

Just heard

The place that the staffing agency was forwarding my resume to is giving an offer to someone else this week so I'm out of the running for it.

Oh well. Hopefully something will come along soon

So last night I had a dream that I actually remembered most of.

I was out in the florida room on the computer, it was summer as it was nice out and the doors were wide open.

The doorbell rang and I looked and blinked. It was my ex-boyfriend from college. For the SCAdians that knew me then.. it was Vlad. Only.. he looked healthy and shorter. It was bizare. He came to ask for his leather jacket back. I was like "Sure no problem" and went and got it and gave it to him.

Thing is... the only thing of Vlad's that I have is an old ratty tie-dyed tshirt and a piece of garb I made for him. I don't get it.

But apparently I had his jacket in my dream and I gave it to him. He thanked me and left.

I returned to the florida room where Dicea was waiting for me and asked who was at the door. When I said that it was Vlad she nodded and went "oh. OK".

That's when I knew it was a dream. Not that he showed up, not that I returned something of his that I knew I didn't have. It was her reaction.

All in all it was just plain odd.

Nothing is more sad looking than a chihuahua who has just been tormented to a real bath. Not only does he have the drowned rat look he's shivering and whining and miserable.

But hey... he don't stink no more.

I must say that I much prefer bathing a chihuahua than any of the larger dogs I've had to bathe/assist with the bathing. 3+ pounds is much easier to push around and hold under the running water.

Earlier today he must have gotten to missing Darcy and the Girls (who we went to see yesterday). He climbed into his carrier, looked out at me and cried. When I said it was too cold to go out and we were staying here he laid down in his carrier and whined.
