The successes and failures of the day
May. 25th, 2008 09:32 pmGot up at a reasonable time and got dressed right away.
Walked the dog and we had outside time while I worked on weeding the front landscaping. Dicea came over, we went and bought mulch and gas for the lawn mower. When we got back, after a quick lunch we got the front and back mowed and weed wacked (thank you again boo for bringing the weed wacker over) and then got the mulch spread over the front landscaping. I need about 4 more bags but it's a good start. We also got the landscape hit with miracle grow and the bare spot under the tree in front got hit with miracle grow and grass seed.
After Dicea left, got the sprinkler tractor out and set that up to water.
Made dinner and for the first time in a very long time, failed horribly at meatballs. I tried too many new variables and that combination failed. I need to turn in my Italian girl cooks card.
After dinner sis and I got rugs vacuumed, floors swept and mopped.
Tomorrow Aunt and Uncle are coming around 2. When I get up in the morning I will straighten up the florida room, pick up the stuff on the kitchen and dining room tables and make home made french fries.
It's been, overall, a very productive weekend. Probably not as relaxing as I would have liked but I'm very happy with the amount that I've gotten done with the help of my loved ones.
