I am not old
Apr. 30th, 2009 03:15 pmI know that. I will be 36 come end of June. But compared to the other 7 folks I work with there is only one older than me and he's only older by 1.5 months.
Anyway, the "boys" were discussing the Wolverine movie that is opening tomorrow. They seemed surprised on my knowledge of the X-men universe and the like. Yes, I'm a girl. Yes i'm in my mid 30's. So what. I have always liked the the universe.
Then they get away from the actual wolverine thing and start talking about Hugh Jackman. And eventually the conversation drifts towards Mr. Jackman's orientation and the argument for him being gay is "he does all that musical theater". Huh?!?! Jerry Orbach did tons of musical theater, but they aren't accusing the Law and Order guy as being gay.
So I point out that last I heard Hugh was married and had at least one child. "That doesn't prove anything" was the reply. True but still.
So I told them that if they could arrange for Hugh to get here, I'd happily take him for a test drive and report back my findings.
Sometimes it is very fun to make the children snarf and do spit takes.
