(no subject)

I'm up and starting to get motivated to start emptying the car.

I came home to no hot water. I have gas. But the stupid pilot light on the heater won't stay on. Research tells me it's the thermocoupler-widget. Which is a $10 DIY thing. But this is me and I do not mess with Gas. If my neighbor Ron doesn't know how to do it, I will call a repairman and shell out $$ for labor to replace it. But nothing like coming home from pennsic, looking forward to that first home hot shower and having ice.

Critters are clingy but happy to see me.

I am glad to be home. War was strange and weird and not sure if I can put into words why it was such.

But now I am off to find shoes and a shirt and start on emptytng the van so I can take the Girls' stuff over to them later.

Anyone know a good plumber/repair man in the Buffalo area?

I need a new thermocoupler thingy for my water heater. Neighbor is not comfortable messing with gas (which needs to be shut off to do the replacing) and neither am I.

I'd really like to not spend an arm and a leg to replace this dohicky and I'd love to take a hot shower sometime soon.
