I'm up and starting to get motivated to start emptying the car.

I came home to no hot water. I have gas. But the stupid pilot light on the heater won't stay on. Research tells me it's the thermocoupler-widget. Which is a $10 DIY thing. But this is me and I do not mess with Gas. If my neighbor Ron doesn't know how to do it, I will call a repairman and shell out $$ for labor to replace it. But nothing like coming home from pennsic, looking forward to that first home hot shower and having ice.

Critters are clingy but happy to see me.

I am glad to be home. War was strange and weird and not sure if I can put into words why it was such.

But now I am off to find shoes and a shirt and start on emptytng the van so I can take the Girls' stuff over to them later.

it's the year of the water problems! Alonzio's had the same problem about a month ago and another friend got home to a water main break and no water.

It was a weird war. His Grace being missing was only part of it. The overall drahmah quotient was pretty low (Yea!), and nothing really epic happened. I usually come home with plenty of stories I'm excited to tell, but not so much this year. I had a nice time, saw people I love, drank wine and relaxed. Not bad, but definitely weird.

Good to have you all home safe and sound. I hope the luxurious shower is only postponed. I agree, it is one of the best things to come home to.
