book review - could not finish

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two by John Tiffany




I tried. I gave up on page 30.

I have no problem reading plays and I really enjoyed the world of Harry Potter. But frankly... I just couldn't.

By page 30 I found myself actively hating the character of Albus and wondering if he and Scorpius Malfoy weren't switched at birth.

Lack of stage direction also made it difficult. I was pretty much only reading dialog.

I wanted to like it. I was looking forward to it. But.. I'm at an age in my life where I do not have time for bad books.

I might be willing to watch an actual production of this play, but the book itself is going to be donated to charity.
