My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The story of Hamlet as seen through the eyes of the lesser characters of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. That's pretty much the story.

I know people who really like this play. I really can't say I'm one of them. Now granted, Hamlet is not one of my preferred Shakespearean Tragedies. But still. Frankly I had to force my way through Act One. I found it boring and really got annoyed at insipid I found Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. To be honest, I thought they were actually dead and were trying to figure out what had happened. I might have enjoyed it more if that had been the case.
After reading the play I did go and watch the movie version and my opinion did not change. Which is a shame, given the number of stars that were in the movie.
