Detective Constable Peter Grant is called in to help investigate a homicide of an artist because one of the investigating officers said it scene felt weird.
Peter finds himself once again drawn into the physical, magical and supernatural underground (literally) of London, which is only complicated because he needs to navigate the rules of that world but also deal with international diplomacy when the FBI get involved because the case involves a US National (specifically the victim being the son of a US Senator).
*****
Book Three in this series and I'm more and more of a fan. I find I am actually loving the character of Peter more than I do Harry Dresden and have already put in the request for the next book from the library.
And I gotta say, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith's reading just makes the book even better.
