Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris

The one thing I greatly enjoy in David Sedaris' work is the way he strings words together to convey emotion. Especially his way to find humor in the ordinary.

This book is a collection of essays of him mostly living in Paris and his experiences as an introverted American living in a city that is not.

I enjoyed this book and will continue to read his books as I find them.

2023 PopSugar Challenge: a book about an athlete or sport

Everything for You by Chloe Liese

Oliver is the star of the Galaxy Professional Soccer Team and has a great family. Yes, he's still nursing a broken heart from college, but he won't let anything stop him from living his best life.

But then his soccer idol and teen crush, Gavin leaves the European leagues and joins the Galaxy. Gavin is older, standoffish and a giant, gorgeous grump. On top of that the coach makes them co-captains of the team and makes them work together.

As if the tension between them can't get thicker...Neither man wants to admit that they are strongly attracted to each other while having to not only work together, but it turns out they live next to each other.

This was exactly what I expected... high sexual tension, steamy scenes and actual plot. I'm not sure I will read any other books in this series, but I'm not sure I won't either.
