Baby & the Late Night Howlers (Sweet Omegaverse, #1)Baby & the Late Night Howlers by Kathryn Moon

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

My first real "omegaverse" book (as opposed to the bunch of short stories I've read previously).

Baby has come to accept that she's a Beta and honestly, she's good with it. It means she can just enjoy life without worrying about pack dynamics and drama of Alphas and Omegas.

Then one night, while at a bar, she suddenly realizes she's not a Beta but an Omega, and being in a Bar full of Alphas at that moment is seriously dangerous for her. But she gets rescued by large and handsome Beta who gets her to safety and help.

The Howlers are an Alpha Pack Motorcycle Club who accepted a long time ago that they were never going to have an Omega pick them - not when there were packs who could offer luxury, a fine home and all the pampering an Omega would ever want. So they trilled and a bit nervous when they find out that an Omega wants them - and she is a newly discovered one who is soon to come into heat.

But things get tense when another Alpha starts sniffing around with every intention of stealing her away from them - with or without her consent - and the Howlers have to do everything they can to keep her safe.

++++
I enjoyed the book.

Story was decent. Fun spice scenes.

Enough enjoyment to have me continue in this world.

Fighting Instincts (Sweet Omegaverse, #5)Fighting Instincts by Lana Kole

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A good level of spice without being overwhelming. I liked the story and seeing a strong, but not Alpha (with a capital a), male have the vulnerability and questioning of belonging and needing to belong.

Though i have to admit that the female Omega in this story started to really get on my nerves for the level of emotional immaturity I felt from her.

I enjoyed the story and the twist in the concepts of the omegaverse.

I also like how you do not have to have read the previous books in this series. There are vague references to them but nothing that leaves you feeling like you missed something.

All Packed Up (Sweet Omegaverse, #7)All Packed Up by Lana Kole

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

2.5 stars, but I rounded up.

I was intrigued by the idea of an Omega on the run after being forced to bond and finding herself in an emotionally abusive pack situation.

But honestly, the story itself was ho-hum. The spicy scenes were also not all that spicy (like black pepper heat rather than chili pepper heat).

I just didn't feel the connections amongst the characters in this one.

The Sweet Omegaverse is one I like, but I'm not sure I like this addition to it.

Lola & the Millionaires: Part One (Sweet Omegaverse, #2)Lola & the Millionaires: Part One by Kathryn Moon

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Lola & the Millionaires: Part Two (Sweet Omegaverse, #3)Lola & the Millionaires: Part Two by Kathryn Moon

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lola has convinced herself that as a Beta she is not good enough but continues to "hunt Alphas" hoping to find a connection. This behavior causes her to fall prey to an evil Alpha and his pack that abuses her severely and leaving her, understandably, with a deep psychological fear of Alphas.

But she starts working to take control of her life, landing the job of her dreams - working at a fashion magazine. But it becomes hard when she realizes she's surrounded by some of the most powerful Alphas in the industry.

But when the man of her nightmares returns and starts emotionally tormenting her, she finds that the thing she may need most is the thing she fears the most - a pack of Alphas.

+++

I really enjoyed this duology. I honestly thought it was a good representation of an abused woman and the inner fear that is felt when escape happens. I also liked how the Alpha pack that helps her shows her kindness, understanding and gives her the room to cope and allow her to start the healing process.

And the spicy scenes where certainly along the lines of a jalapeno.
