It was a good weekend.

Despite the fact that I started my mini vacation sick as a dog I still enjoyed the weekend.

My first time riding on a train went smoothly. Though in Utica I swear Lindsay Lohan's twin sat down next to me (ok, maybe younger cousin). She looked like Lohan at 16 and sounded just like her. It was kinda creepy.

Got in to Schenectady to be met by Dicea. Her family is great and I wish I had more opportunities to spend time with them. Good people.

We had lunch with

starkeymonster and Dicea's friend Allison. IT was fun.

Friday we headed down to Pennsylvania and got to spend the weekend with

deadised,

visrose, and

theboomboom. It was so nice having a long weekend to spend with them. I have missed them. It felt like home.

I also got

deadised's 12th night present started for NEXT 12th night (as in 2008). I just have to work this week on getting his and several other's done for THIS 12th night.

And it was fun seeing Dicea interacting with her new little brother. And the puppy is great. The most well behaved 11 week old puppy I have ever met. And I'm glad he enjoys his flying squirrel that I picked out for him.

The felines were very happy to have me home. I've had all three come sit with me and let me know, each in their own way, that they have missed me. (Tzar yelled at me, Talia sat in my lap and Alex stole a french fry. Yes I'm loved).

My cold is pretty much gone. Though I seemed to have given it to

bakestondone and for that I'm sorry. It's a very miserable cold/flu.

But for now, I'm home, and I'm going to go unpack and spend time with my little ones and rest up so that I can go in to work early tomorrow and tackle life and the new year fresh.
