Productive lunch

Despite the cold icky rain outside I went out on my lunch hour. Mostly because I left the house forgetting I had no funds in my wallet and not packing a lunch and not wanting to just sit and watch other people eat.
But I took advantage of a JoAnn fabric's gift card in my purse, 2 50% off coupons and 1 40% off coupon. So even though I am only 1/2 way done with
deadised's 12th night gift for next year, I got the most of the material needed for
hearne's and all of the material for little Kate's. I still have $3 and change on the card too. That's enough for one more skein of yarn.
Speaking of yarn... for those fiber geeks out there... do any of you know of a website where I can order yarn from? I'm specifically looking for worsted weight white with black shots (the intention is that as it's crocheted with a ermine like pattern will emerge) that is NOT wool. I found some at JoAnn's but it was only 3 oz skeins and I need 40 oz of it. And I'd like to find a potentially larger skein for not quite as much cost. I can settle for plain white but the effect of the ermine would be perfect for the project I'm wanting to do for
visrose.

Date: 2007-01-15 07:40 pm (UTC)cruise back through some of her posts this month; i know she posted at one point that she was having a new year sale on yarns, but not being a knitter, i didn't really take note. she does mail order, and is very SCA friendly. in fact, she also sellsbeads and embroidery supplies (at least i think that's the bulk of her SCA merchanting business).
see? ah'm he'pin'! :)
