Apparently many people took the topic of last week (Sloth) to heart. No worries.

This week I give you...

RED

"Red is the color of sex, Charlie Boy. {something, something} and signs that say DO. NOT. ENTER." If I could ever get my DVD back, I would know the full quote. (The movie by the way is Kinky Boots)

Red is the color of sex, lust and desire. Red roses, red wine, red lipstick, red satin sheets, strawberries.

But it is also the color danger. Stop, do not enter, red sky in the morning.

Red is the color of failure... we all remember the dreaded red pen used on our homework in school right?

Take the color red and run with it.

What fun is there in giving it back to you when we could have a marvelous brawl when you try to steal it back instead?

But to make up for that, I'll give you something to entertain you. I went looking for the exact quote and found this:

"When Charlie shows Lola his prototype thigh-high boot, Lola is upset that it's red, saying that red is the color of sex but also a sign that says do not enter. Charlie then argues that the boots are comfy, with Lola replying that "sex should not be comfy" (with a female factory worker agreeing) and that they're talking about "two and a half feet of tubular sex." When he leaves, Lola says that sex is in the heel. When Charlie doesn't know what that means, his female assistant says that wearing heals requires balance that causes leg muscles to be tense that in turn causes one's buttocks to be taut and "ready for mating."

Curious interpretation of that scene. Interesting.

Somehow, tho.. I don't think I will ever be able think of the word again without hearing Lola's exlamation of .. "red. Red. REEEEDDDDD!!!!"

Great Movie! My fav was the disgust on Lola's face when she see's the original boot's colour.
