So I've been reading the most awful dreck of a romance novel to date. "My Fair Viking" by Sandra Hill. I picked it up out of the box of books at the Doma thinking to myself It can't possibly be that bad.

Yeah well. I have been making myself finish it. It's is ranking up there with nappy buttocks.

Anyway, finally on page 262 out of 364 we get to the actual act that has been torturously lead up to. And torturously I mean ... "someone actually got paid to write this and someone else paid to print it AND my mother actually bought this stuff".

I have to share a small bit of purple prose that made me snort with laughter and roll my eyes heavenward:

"...and her pleasure spiraled and spiraled and spiraled til her insides shattered into a million small ripples of woman-joy."

Woman-joy? WOMAN-JOY?!?!?!?!?!

Where do people come up with this stuff.

Anyway, I had to share that so that I wasn't the only one blinking at it.
