Answering Dicea's question
Mar. 26th, 2007 09:28 pmAfter we get the Doma cleaned up, you get an opportunity to have any one of the reality type home makeover shows come to help you out.
Which one do you choose and why?
I think in the end I would opt for one of the "curb appeal" or "by the yard" ones. Mainly because, while I will never be a professional decorator, I have no real issues slapping paint on walls, recovering chairs, making new curtains, getting some throw pillows and discussing new floorings.
What I have problems with are green things. I would love for one of those shows to come along and help me redo the landscaping in the backyard, fix up the new landscaping mom had done, rip out the overgrown bushes on the side of the house and give me my rose garden. Not to mention the backyard really does need another 2-6 inches raising in spots to keep it from being the everglades. (do I mention now that one of my neighbors actually has a sump pump in his back yard to control the swamping and if he doesn't ducks literally swim and dive in his back yard?)
