Yawn, Mondays

Today was fairly low key, though busy at work. Lots of monday morning reports and the bi-weekly timecard approval and submission.
Learned before lunch they are closing one of our branch offices (not mine!). I feel sorry for those that won't be able to commute to my office or the Northtowns and will have to find something else, but I certainly see the logistics of why they are doing it. How any of this actually effects me other than an increase in incoming calls is yet to be seen/determined.
Got to the Doma after work and waited for the TV guys to show up with the repaird TV.
While waiting I got the 1/2 bath's ceiling painted, sanded and respackled the front door as well.
After the TV guys delivered the now wonderfully working TV I added a second coat of paint to the ceiling. Yes, i didn't get the Kilz so I had to do a second coat. That's fine with me though. 2 coats was less than 3 cups of paint. I can deal with an inferior paint when it costs less. And I had a base of kilz up already.
After it dried I went in and looked at it objectively. You know, it is the perfect match to the color I picked out of the fabirc I got for the curtains in the room, but when you see that much of it up and dried... suddenly Tarnished Brass looks a lot like Grey Poupon Mustard which looks a lot like... Baby Poop. Yeah, I actually painted the ceiling in the bathroom the color of baby poop. *sigh*
I'm hoping once I get the walls painted and faux treated it will look better. If not, I rag treat the ceiling too.
The only way to learn is to do right?
A bag of baby blankets, baby clothes and baby clothes hangers are now out of the house. Freecycle people came and got them. I'm glad. Gives me hope for all the other stuff that will be going there eventually.
Huntress... did you see my comment to your comment? are you interested at all in the girls clothing before I put it up for grabs to strangers?
but I'm home now. Gonna feed the felines and finned ones and find my bed.
Moo
