Took Tzar and Talia off to see Dr. Jill. Apparently Dr. Dave doesn't work Saturdays. Oh well. But both were given clean bills of health. Both gained 1.5 lbs but they are still well within normal for weight.

Tzar of course charmed all the ladies there and was given a surprise. As we were waiting, Talia in her carrier and he in his handsome new harness and leash, a Chiuaua (however you spell it) came in. Tzar looked at it, then looked at me with a "WTF... it's tinier than I am and it's a dog?!?!!?" expresion on his face. And when the dog grrrrrrrred at him Tzar's meow sounded a lot like a laugh to me.

After returning the little ones home, I went and got the Girls and we went to the Zoo. It was a bit chilly but it felt good to get out and walk around. They are still recovering from the October Storm. The snow leopard enclosure was really wrecked, the lemurs weren't out because their enclosure needs repairs too. The mandrils weren't out because the snow leopards were in their enclosure.

But... the polar bears were great, as they still have great big piles of icey snow to lay on and be happy with.

Also, there was a baby Maned wolf! I love maned wolves. They are "foxes on stilts". But what was great was that the baby was not in with the adult but in it's own enclosure with a dometic dog... looked like a rot, shepherd mix, who whas obviously the babysitter/foster mom. It was very cute.

Also got to see the baby Giraffe who was born in August. The baby rhino is no longer there. I knew they had said he was going to be going to another zoo but it was kinda sad not to see him when he had been there for at least two years.

We went and had Anderson's Roast Beef for lunch. Tre yummy.

Then dropped the girls off at home and went and run some errands.

Tomorrow will be going to the Doma to do some stuff.

Looking at finances, I don't think Coronation will be in the cards. It would be nice but I have to be practical and reasonable and grown up. I'll stay home and sew curtains or something useful. Do laundry.

Speaking of laundry, I need to collect up some to take with me tomorrow.

But for now, that's the state of the Ekat.

Sounds like a lovely day.
The Kid refers to chihuahuas and the like as "cat snacks".
