baronessekat | day one of mad dash towards garage sale

Got out of work at 6 after having been there since just before 7am. (mixed with not sleeping much this past weekend makes for tired and slightly cranky Ekat).

After bite to eat of dead cow, got to work on the garage. And for those that have seen it, you know how much work that would be.

I got all the books reboxed into single layer flats to make for easier scanning by hopeful buyers and then moved/stacked to one side of the garage. This actually emptied about 10 boxes. Manages to unearth the corner of the garage were the pavillion is and where the exercise bench that will be going out for the sale is. Tomorrow or Wednesday I will try to get both moved from the corner so I can move the empty boxes there.

Also managed to get all the LPs into bins, emptied most of the coffee cup cupboard into boxes for selling and many of the glasses out of the cupboard to sell as well. I even got several boxes out of the living room and into the garage.

Tomorrow my hope is to actually pick up inside the house and take picture of the hospital bed, electric wheel chair and the big wooden computer table so that I can print them off and have them as "also for sale but unable to bring out of house" signs.

Need to actually make the signs for the sale to hang around the neighborhood.

Tomorrow or Wednesday I need to go to the bank and try to get money out so that I have the ability to make change for people. That's actually my biggest concern. I'll have to see if I can take a slightly extended lunch so I can run to the credit union and get money out. I also need to go find some stickers that I can use to price the few things that I want to put prices on. The majority of the things in the sale are priced "make me an offer".

I will be glad when this weekend is over so I can go back to the mild chaos of redecorating and cleaning rather than setting up for the sale.

But for now, I'm going to go become unconscious. I have to be to work again early.
