It’s hard to believe that it will be 5 years tomorrow since you asked me to marry you; 5 years next week since we shared our vows. Even harder still to believe that it’s been 15 years since a willful 19 year old told some flea bitten sailor to shut up and get out and let her get to work.
These last 15 years have been more than I could have ever have hoped for. You have brought more to my life than I would have ever dreamt possible and I thank the Lord and Lady every day for bringing you into my life.
I have lived more, loved more, sang more, cried more and done more because of you. I have worked to be more that I thought I could be because of your influence. Your strength and love carries me through the darkest times and embraces me through the happiest moments.
Though the seas may part us for months at a time, you are never from my heart. Every moment that passes finds my love for you growing stronger. Every breath I take is full of my commitment to you.
I wish there were words to fully and truly express how much you mean to me. You are my love, my friend, my lover, my husband and my soul.
I gave you my heart, my body, my child and my life. I give to you all that I have and share all that I could be and have.
Please know that I am not who I am today without you. I would not be able to endure life knowing you were not in it.
And I promise to you, the rest of my life and beyond.
