I'm contemplating taking myself to the movies tonight.

I have a AMC movie card for (I think) $25. this would definately get me a ticket and some snacks if that's how much it is. It's at least $10 which would get me one or the other.

My options are:

Transformers
Ratatouille
Live Free or Die Hard
HPOOP

I've seen the HP movie but would see it again. I want to see Transformers and Ratatouille. But I've heard mixed reviews about Ratatouille.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to see?

Saw ratatouille and loved it. Very funny.
Mixed reviews? Really? Hmm.
I can't address live free or die hard, but you can't lose with any of the otehrs from what I hear.

YEah we saw ratatouille and found it was ...lacking. Certainly not up to the high standards of enjoyment their other movies were. But then again I found Over the Hedge to be a trite yawnfest taking all the best pieces of movies before them and regerjutating (sp) them with celebrity voices. Bleh.

Transformers was a wonderful romp. If you like stuff blowing up, and enough plot and humor to hold the mess together, it is a GREAT flick.

I want to go see LF,DH very soon. The others can wait until video, IMO.

Transformers should be experienced huge and in stereo (gawd, if I had the cash I'd go again! I was so jazzed!) LFDH was also very good, and should be seen on the big screen if possible.

I want to see the little ratchef, but I think of the ones you've listed, it will survive the translation to the small screen best.

Best of all, both Transformers and LfDh leave you feeling good when they're over: pumped and hopeful. I'd say either of those before the other two choices.

Ratatouille was great. If you worked in a kitchen you will recognise all the people in the movie. Any film that thanks Anthony Bourdaine in the credits is worth watching. In some ways it's a kids' version of kitchen confidental.

I didn't care for Ratatouille, but I have a personal sense of respect for rats. Had they done half the research into rats that they did fishes and cars, it might have been a good movie. It was better than Shark Tale, not as good as Cinderella III.

I saw Transformers and it was amazing to watch on the big screen. Awesome affects and sound and more than decent acting makes it a must-see. I'm a sucker for action movies with a good amount of comedy.

My parents were in the next theater over watching Live Free or Die Hard and they loved it. Said it was one of the best Die Hard Movies.

Can't go wrong either way.

I loved Ratatouille. I thought it was very clever and funny. I liked it much more than Cars. The short, to me, was worth the price of admission. It was hilarious.

I haven't seen Live Free or Die Hard but I'd like to!

Errrrr? AMC? Which AMC do you frequent up there? I think there's only one multi in the area, but the name escapes me (Webster?)...

Webster is in the Rochester Area. It's about 100 miles east of me.

The one I went to tonight is Amherst. Located on Sweet Home Road in Amherst, NY 14228.

Usually the girls and I got to Regal, even though the AMC is closer (the Regal's the one with the IMAX).
