Yeah, I'm back in the Real World

The kitties are glad I'm home. To the point that the only time I'm out of Tzar's sight is when I go outside. He even follows me into the bathroom. Right now he and Talia are enjoying their Pennsic Pressies of new catnip toys.
Pennisc went well. I did 42 hours of deputy duty at Public Safety and the worst thing that happened is Crazy Lady in the camp next to mine had an issue with the guy in the tent next to her and eventually ended up leaving site. Other than that... nada. Ok, it rained on every shift I was on duty for but that's not my fault. But I broke the curse and my night shift consisted of me sitting in Kyngsbridge with friends or sitting at point reading.
Got to spend time with good friends and met new ones. Good friends got awards that I am happy for - Gregory and Brusi both got AEthelmearc Augmentations of Arms. Many other good people from staff got Kings Awards of Excellence.
I got really tired of the rain though. Especially the thunderstorm at midnight that seemed to settle right over my pavillion. Ekat was NOT a happy camper due to that. If I hadn't already signed up for 2 deputy sifts I so would have packed up in the morning and left. As it is I am glad I stayed.
The girls left before the big storms hit and I'm glad they did, though I missed not having them around. Had Friday Family Dinner with Phil,
hundmather, and his friend Jess. Countess Ali came by a couple times and it was good to see her, though didn't get to see Andrew at all.
I spent a lot of money shopping this year. Bought lots of jewelry pressies for people, got a great deal on wool and now have a combined amount of 18.5 yards. I wanted to get linen (at $5/yd it was a hard to pass up deal) but the merchant didn't take credit cards. Also got myself a basket purse and a mirror box (both are things that I have been eyeing for years and broke down and bought this year).
I've also already agreed to being a PS deputy next year. Brusi is Delta 1 and he asked when I went to go say goodbye.
Today was just a joy (insert sarcasm). I didnt' sleep as late as I wanted to, oh well. And I can't remember if I took my meds last night before falling asleep or not.
Went out the garage to start the unpacking of the van and realized I left the keys in the house. Turn to go back in and discover--- I managed to lock myself out. I'm barefoot and grumpy and can't unload the van. I go next door to see if the neighbors who watched the house are home to get the keys from them. No dice. Resigned to wait, I figure I might as well mow the lawn. I didn't want to do it barefoot but I was carefull. But just as I finished the front lawn I manage to hit a pipe end. I nicked the blade, broke the metal pipe cap and worked loose two screws that kept the casing for the motar into place. So no mowing the back yard. Now have to call Lowes and see if I can get it in under the service contract.
Settled into a chair in the garage to wait for the neighbors, pulled out a soda from the beverage fridge in said garage and a book. Then I had to pee. I went around back to check the back doors to see if I hadn't locked them. Nope - locked solid. Then I remembered my bedroom window wasn't locked, just shut. So back to the garage to pull out a ladder and I scaled the ladder to the roof of the florida room. Let me tell you, asphalt roof shingles get HOT in the afternoon sun. My feet didn't like it. But I managed to pop the screen, slide open the window and crawl into the house.
This is good. As i locked myself out at noon and it is now 7:15pm and the neighbors are still not home.
I've now managed to get the van unpacked execpt for the easy up, the bed frame/platform and the pavillion poles. I need help with all that as the easy up and bed platform are on top of the poles and bed frame and they are too heavy for me to lift by myself.
I'll start laundry tomorrow after work. EVERYTHING needs to be washed as it all got damp due to the rain. If it wasn't in a sealed tote it got damp if not drenched.
I need to also unwrap the sheet walls (took them down still attached to the stakes) to wash them as well.
But I'm going to spend the rest of the day just resting and trying to cope with being home and back in the mundane world.
