So tonight I tried an experiement. Point friendly pizza-thingies.

WW pitas
0 point bruchetta
FF mozzerella cheese
mushrooms
garlic salt
italian seasonings.

each pizza-thing came out to 2 points. I liked that. But I once again proved to myself, that not matter how many ways I try to hide it, disquise it or whatnot, I still do not like the taste of whole wheat bread.

While I ate the pizzas I was left with the taste in my mouth that I always get from whole wheat foods.

Oh well. It was a nice try. So I will continue to look for alternatives. Maybe WW bagels (which I do like) or WW english muffins for pizzathingies.

But at least a 4 point dinner means I can splurge and have ice cream for dessert. And not the low fat stuff. I can have a scoop of Sabres Ice Cream or the Fried Ice Cream. I'll accept whole wheat so I can have ice cream.

I tried doing some similar, but I hated the pita stuff. I did find that I could make mini pizzas using mini bagels and that worked pretty well.

So, maybe worth a try??

I grew up with the pizza english muffin as a wonderful treat. I think that would also be a worthy experiment

When I was in 4-H it was one of the first things our little experimental 7-year-olds-group learned to cook. Tomato paste, herbs, mozzarella, and the broiler.

One of my favorite winter treats as well. *Big smile*

I, too, am a big fan of the pizza muffin. In fact, now I have to make some this weekend!

When I was a kid there was a good bit of "home alone to make food for myself" after school. These afternoon culinary forays included some interesting things like....
*microwave frozen burritos with ketchup and tobasco because we had no salsa in the house atm.

*I learned that pizza is not nearly as good with ketchup instead of tomato sauce.

* I learned that nachos can indeed be made in the toaster oven with mom's REALLY good chedder. YEah I got in trouble for this.

*Oh and we can't forget 101 ways to change, murder, and adulterate Ramen noodles.

Some of my "home alone" microwave experiments included granola bars and marshmallows. Marshmallows are extra fun.

Also, it *is* possible to put too much garlic powder on garlic bread.
