I didn't want to get the baby gates out yet!

I came home for lunch as I always do. Let the little guy out of his pen so he can run and play and eat his lunch.

I go up the two steps from the florida room into the family room so I can run to the bathroom, content that he will be fine.

I look down and double blink. He comes trotting into the bathroom. He climbed both stairs to join me.

So I guess I have to get the baby gates out of the basement now.

He is too precocious for his own good.

until he's at least completely paper trained, I'm limiting the number of rooms he has access to that's all.

I had hoped that I wouldn't need the gate to keep him in the florida room for at least a couple weeks, but he's figured out how to use the carpet on the stairs to climb.
