I will survive

It could have been worse - it could have happened on a Wednesday.

45 minutes ago I got called into the COO's office. They restructured the entire company and I got caught in it.

as of 30 minutes ago I'm unemployed.

It sucks. No severence even to the end of the week.

I'm going to have to get cobra to cover my meds until I can get a full time job.

But, I will survive. I"m not worried. Hell at this time of year I can easily get retail work to see me through the holidays.

And you know... now I can finally get the last of the pennsic laundry done, get the house cleaned to put up the christmas decorations and maybe by being home more I can get the Little Butt fully paper trained.

It's all good.

You've seen me go through endings of jobs (albeit contracts) both expected and not, many times. You will apply for UI immediately, really enjoy the heck out of a couple of days off, maybe take a holiday retail job and then get something that is better than you had. Absolutely.

At my company, I'm processing all the changes (every day this week). It's apparently a traditional week for businesses to do that sort of thing.
