I have a question

Have you noticed your furry or feathered friends showing an interest in one particular television show or type of music?

I'm just curious as to if mine are the only wierd ones out there or if others do it.

My beloved Nicodemus used to come running from elsewhere when he heard the theme to Powerpuff girls.
Alexandra has become totally enthralled by Teen Titans though she refuses to full admit it.
Talia love Rachel Ray and any show she's in.
Tzar seems to like Code name Kids next door but also likes the show The Deadliest Catch and the showtunes channel on Music Choice.

I don't remember any of my dogs ever having this interest in Television or music. So I'm just curious as to if others have seen this behavior as well.

Jake adores Animal Planet. Particularly K9 to 5, and Breed All About It. He also seems partial to the Advantix commercial with the puppy who is at camp.

We haven't noticed anything particular music wise though.

My first Dog, Gareth. Would watch anything Disney with animals...
if he was wound up i would plug in the fox and the hound or 101 dalmations etc.. and he would plunk down get settled and chill.
I eventually jsut set the TV with a timer to turn it off so he would be quiet at night when i was tryign to get to sleep and he was still wound up. Gareth was ALWAYS wound up... very active very smart dog.

Champ, Like female vocalists... usually with light colored hair. He will listen and watch any of them. My parents noticed this when they were watching him durring one Pennsic.
he has no specific shows but thats his habit.

Oh most definitely. Several of the cats I've owned have become interested in nature programs. One documentary on wild cats had my house cat sitting staring fascinated at the TV. He tried to talk to the speaker a few times. I had a cat one time who stared at a QVC program for a half hour straight (I had insomnia and was watching it in the hopes I would fall asleep).

My insane lesbian guinea pigs loved listening to folk music. If I put on Melissa Etheridge and they would sit still and make happy purring noises.

I'm so glad mine are not the only ones. though I'm having wonderful giggles at the images of the lesbian guinea pigs bopping to Melissa. Wonder how they would react to her rendition of Janice Joplin's "Take a little piece of my heart" that she did for the Grammies.

I once had a dog that would run from the room the minute the theme song to "Little House On The Prarie" would come on. Later, he would sneak into the room and hide his head against someone's leg.
