Yesterday I got kidnapped by Dicea and I joined her for most of her work day of running deliveries. Gave us our "road trip" time and hang out time at the same time.

Last night I didn't really get much done around the house. I got my small 4 ft xmas tree up out in the florida room. Tzar is so much happier to have it. He curls up under it, happy as a clam and has stopped yelling at me all the time. Maybe by the end of the weekend I'll start putting ornaments up on both trees.

Also last night Grimm hit my last nerve. He was being a total bite and acting up once we went to bed. Thinking he wanted to eat or drink I put him down on the floor and expected him to go then come back and ask to come back up to bed. No, he started really barking at me and running around. Then he hightailed it downstairs and refused to behave. So last night he spent the night in his pen downstairs in the florida room rather than in bed.

Since I blew yesterday off I want to try to get a lot done today. I have to go grocery shopping.
I want to get all the clean laundry out of the family room and clean the room. I hope to get the last of the xmas decoration bins out of the living room. This weekend I can then bring the bins of the decorations for the family room out of the basement (which I haven't been able to do since the room isn't clean).

Wonder if we are going to do a family dinner tonight. We haven't had one since before Thanksgiving.

So anyway, that's the game plan for the day. But you know what they say - tactics go out the window as soon as the first battle is engaged.

Now you know why, though they sleep in the bedroom, Ping spends every night in his crate and Penelope (and whichever Samoyed) are/were leashed to the foot of the bed.

My parents owned a dauchshund--Frizzy--who used to "steal" their blanket covers every night. This annoied dad. So, one day when they were buying new blankets, they bought 2 and kept out of reach of the weenier-dog. Friz would steal the blanket, and then my father would reach and grab the second blanket, and everyone was happy until they had to get up in the morning.

Frizzy had some other interesting weenier-pooch habits. He was the canine Casa-nova of the nieghbourhood...
