So back in January my mother had bought me a TV for my bedroom. It was a TV, DVD, VHS combo tv.

In June the picture tube started to go. Luckily mom had bought the extended warrenty.

Back in June I called the 800 number. They said they would send me a mailing label (even though it was to go to a place here in town).

Come September I realize I hadn't gotten the mailing label. I call again. They said they will put another one in the mail.

I realized just recently I still hadn't gotten a label. It's been over 6 months since I could use the TV and since then it's been sitting in my garage.

So I call again. This time I get told that they have me down for a "carry-in" claim. This would be why I never got the stupid mailing label. At least this time the woman was nice enough to tell me WHERE to take the stupid thing.

So next week while my sister is in town I"m going to have her help me take in the TV to finally get fixed.

Next call is to my old landlords and see when I'm going to finally get my deposit check back.

edit Landlord's office is closed until Wednesday.

yep. See, here in the States, there isn't a thing as Boxing day. The day after Christmas is just another working day for us.

I had no idea. And here I thought myself savy to the traditions of my Southern brothers....Thank god I didn't end up in Cleveland after all!
