baronessekatMonday again. Why does it seem that the weekends are never really two days long anymore. It seems like just yesterday it was Friday.
The only thing that really got accomplished this weekend was that I got the AC installed with the help ofdicea. which means I could get off the living room futon and back into a real bed again. That was nice and the cats are grateful for the cool air.
Tzar turned a year old yesterday. We celebrated with gooshy food and a new mousy that Talia stole from him within two minutes.
I did some baking last night. But I do that when I'm restless. Nothing fancy. Just some cake-mix cookies.
But I didn't get any cleaning done, didn't get any writing done, didn't get any scrolls done, nothing. Oh well. Maybe next weekend. Doubt it but can hope.
I spent this morning watching TV. The Travel Channel had a special on the Disney Resorts, which has only intensified my want to go back. Just to hide away for a week at Disney, have fun and let others cater to me. I could soooo go for that.
Today is another week of the crapy 1pm-9pm shifts so that I can continue training Amanda. First thing we are doing and sitting down and I'm going to explain to her the necessity of putting the files together the same way everytime. No loose pages. I opened a file she did last week and nearly died. So, today, rather than opening files, she's going to sit and read through the step by step guide I wrote for her, fix the ones she's already opened and then and only then will she get to open a new one.
I don't want to go to work. I just want to stay home and be a bum again. I need some serious bum time. But it ain't gonna happen. Not if I want to have the time for Pennsic.
Oh well, I suppose I should go start getting ready for work.
