baronessekatSo the weather this morning stank. The drive that should normally take me 25 minutes took me 1.5 hours. I was 1/2 hour late today. But I called and let them know so it was all good and I stayed late to make it up.
You would think that after having seen 34 Upstate New York winters, I wouldn't be surprised by the sheer stupidity of Buffalonian drivers. But nooOOOooo. Every now and then something comes along and makes me blink.
As I was driving down the road my office is on I saw a guy actually driving with the door to his car open some, him standing up out the door to see where he was going. He had chipped a little bit of ice off his windshield but not enough to see. Yeah.
I did get the scroll out so it will be to their Majesties by tomorrow morning.
Right now I'm trying to get warm. My office is chilly and my feet don't seem to get warm there. I have turned to drinking lots of hot tea.
Tonight... finding some dinner and snuggling with my puppy.

Date: 2008-02-08 12:51 am (UTC)We had to walk around a guy on a side street. He was in his car and spinning his wheels so excessively that his car was slowly donutting in the street. Really, the snow wasn't deep nor was there ice. Second gear and a light foot was all that was needed.
Now my car didn't want to get up this AM and just wouldn't move no matter how well I dug her out. There was better luck later.
Glad you took it slow and safely.
