The saga continues
Apr. 11th, 2008 03:29 pmWhen Cheaptickets.com tells you "flight is confirmed" it's not necessarily true.
They had confirmed the air canada parts of the trip (toronto to london and back). But never actually got confirmation from the other airline (london to ME and back).
When I called cheaptickets this morning, and finally managed to not get disconnected they put me on hold, claimed to have called the airlines, then came back and said that he was confirmed on the return flight and he was all set.
Smelling BS, I picked up the phone and called the airline directly myself and was told by three different people that they never got anything from cheaptickets and there was no record of my boss for the return flight and in fact that flight is booked solid.
I call cheaptickets back and inform them that they lied to me and they need to help me get my boss home. I was told basically that I'm SOL and that he needs to go to the ticketing counter and try to make some sort of arrangements.
The only flight I have found that would enable him to make his connection in london would cost $2101 because it's late and one way.
Waiting on what he wants. Not like we have a lot of options.
But because this has taken my entire day... I have no choice... looks like event is a no go as I need to get stuff done for the investor review on Wednesday.
This is me not happy at all.
