stuff and stuff
Jun. 17th, 2008 12:37 pmFamily means being able to go to them when you have a problem, no matter how much you wish you could solve the problem yourself. It is sometimes scary to ask for help, and when you let your mind dwell on the "what ifs" you can sometimes psych yourself into not asking for it, no matter how much you need it. Thank you Dicea for helping me get past the anxiety to ask for the help I needed. Thank you to Boogie for helping me get it.

Went to see the Doctor today. About a month ago when refilling my prescription for my Albuterol, the pharmacist came to me and said that it seemed that I was renewing the inhalor a bit more than I should be and to talk to the doctor about maybe getting a maitenance one or some other assistance meds. So I finally got in to see her today. This is when Ekat learns that Albuterol is only meant to be used no more than 2-3 times a week. *blush* I've been using it 2-3 a day. This might explain the 25 lb weight gain despite having more or less kept to my WW diet (just not as strictly as I used to) - too many steroids in my system. So she's putting me back on Singulair and I have a new matainance inhalor - Symbicort. The inhalor is bright red so I will have less chance of not being able to find it right away (unlike the white one of the Albuterol that I seem to always be putting down on a white surface).
I go back in 3 weeks for a follow up to see how I'm doing. It's a step. A needed one. I hope to get the asthma back under control by Pennsic. Which, I did manage to pre-reg for before the deadline.
I need to start thinking seriously about taking a weekend day and really tackling the garage so I can find my pennsic stuff and pull it out and sort through it and figure out what I need.
Also need to think garb for Pennsic. Since I finally sat down and did the garb research for my elevation, I'm thinking it's time I start getting my garb closet to more closely match my time period and culture. I know, I know, what a concept. But darn it - cotehardies are comfortable. T-tunics are quick and easy to sew. I'm sure once I have a handful of actual correct to my period/culture I'll be content. It's just getting there.
Ok, back to work.
