So the garage calls.

The oil change is done. Good.

Can't pass inspection at this point. Bad.
Besides the light (which I knew about), I need 2 new tires, the brakes tightened and new windshield wipers.

*sigh*. Total cost is over $500+tax.

So, I have an appointment for next week to bring it back in and get all the things fixed (just don't have the money this week). The guy is being nice and said he would tighten the breaks up now since he had the van up on the lift and the breaks exposed, this way he won't have to do it later.

When I pick it up after work I will ask if any of the repairs can be technically covered by the 7 year/70,000 warrenty that I believe is on the car. I doubt it but can't hurt to ask.

He did say that in the next 4-6 months I will need to replace the other two tires and get the breaks done. But I don't need to do that to pass inspection.

This is me NOT happy.

Boo, sorry to hear that sweetie.

Although, I suppose that loose brakes could have caused a more expensive problem, which is now avoided...
