This long holiday weekend was fun for me.

Friday night, as I posted before, Dicea and I tried a new restruant.

Saturday she and I went and did something she had never done and I haven't done in at least 18 years. We went on the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls. (http://www.maidofthemist.com/en/). We took pictures and sometime this week I will download the pictures off my camera and post them. I wish I could have gotten pictures of Dicea's face as we were on the boat down at the base of the Horseshoe Falls. The sheer joy and wonderment in her face was beautiful. We also got my front yard mowed. We also worked some on a "Care and Feeding of the Ekat" guide but I won't post it until I polish it up some more.

Sunday she joined me for breakfast and I made homemade waffles. We then did much needed grocery shopping. Sunday evening we made Old Fashioned Country Casserole and reviewed what we were going to do for a scroll we have due at Summer's End (sept 13). After the day cooled we got the back yard mowed.

Today found us scrubbing pavilions, which was really needed so that they can be packed away for the winter. While they did not fully dry, they are stretched out in my backyard so they can bake over the next day or so then can be folded and packed away. Together she and I also got all the pennsic lumber (tent poles, camp beds, etc) put away in the rafters of the garage.

Grimm greatly enjoyed having lots of Darcy play time and is very worn out - in a good way.

I have greatly enjoyed having the extra day and am not looking forward to returning to work tomorrow. I hope everyone else had a good weekend.
