The day started with a gloomy overcast that seemed rather appropriate - it was the type of weather he loved to fight in.

The funeral home was lovely and the displays, flowers, pictures were all beautiful. I had been warned that his brother looked and sounded just like him. Rather for me I saw a family resemblence that was just close enough to be comforting without being a trigger.

but they came. They came from far and near. Old and young. New aquaintences and life long mates. They all came

Family came together to support those that needed the support, laugh with those that needed to laugh and bond and be as he would have wanted.

His spirt was throughout the room and he made his presence known to those who would listen.

Songs were sung, tales were told. Vivat was called and tears were shed.

We said farewell to a legend today, but we will never say goodbye because as long as we live he will be with us.

He was remembered most eloquently at Coronation.

King Christopher gave a memorium for him at the closing of Royal Court today. Many broke into tears. He asked for a moment of silence, and most bowed their heads. I felt my gaze drawn toward heaven and filled with pride and joy of him and his friendship.

I couldn't go to either the funeral or the Coronation, but I did read the daily office today according to the requiem ordinary, in his honor and in the honor of a beloved teacher who died the day before Morguhn.

May they rest in peace and rise in glory.

The Queen of the East, in a clear, strong and unwavering voice, let her populace know just what Morguhn meant to her, to the East and to the Known World.

She did not cry.

I did.
