YOUR HELP NEEDED NOW TO CONTINUE COUNTY FUNDING FOR CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION!
If our 2009 County funding is not restored, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County and its
important educational programs and services will no longer exist as of January 1, 2009. We are
counting on you to contact the County Executive and as many County Legislators as possible.
You may be aware that the County Executive’s proposed 2009 budget does not include any funds for the
continued programming and operations of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County. We need your
help to persuade our Erie County Executive and Legislators that 2009 county funding of $295,000 for
Cooperative Extension is a needed investment in Erie County’s future and quality of life.
We are asking you to contact as many of our County Legislators as possible. You can do this by
writing a letter, calling on the phone, sending an email, or even better, speaking with them in person.
Contact information for our Legislators and the County Executive is listed below or you can go to
www.erie.gov/legislature. You can also submit support letters to the Buffalo News by mail:
