I was going to go with option one anyway (90 to 390 to 15 to 270). But I got up at my usual time and listened to the morning news.
Most of the entire southern tier of WNY are in almost white out conditions. For those unfamiliar with the term it means it's snowing so bad you can't see. If it's not white out the snow is coming down bad enough to make traveling take anywhere from 2-5x longer. Though they haven't said anything yet about closing the 90 south of Buffalo - yet. But parts of the 400 and 219 are closed.
Yeah, no 90 to 79 to 70 for me. Let alone the Where the hell am I route in PA.
Looking outside right now at 6:45am it's got snow showers going on.
I'm going to take my time, finish packing the car, pack some munchies and maybe a sandwich or two for the road, get Grimm in the car and head over to the girls' house to check on something then hit the road.
I will take my time. i have my iPoop to keep my occupied, my cell phone in case I get into trouble, and know enough people along the way if I need to stop for some reason.
Marion - I know you have my number, I don't think I have yours. can you text it to me so I have it -Just in case?
I will post when I get to MD to let all know I arrived safe.
Moo all and happy thanksgiving.

Date: 2008-11-26 01:34 pm (UTC)My next option is to call you and leave a message, which I really don't want to do given the weather.
Drive carefully.
Love you

Date: 2008-11-26 03:33 pm (UTC)I had to re-organize my phone number list after Pennsic this year because of some other stuff that happened with our family, so I do not have your number actively in my phone. It is probably in my collection of useful papers at home, in Buffalo. If you'd like to email me your number, dicea(dot)deme(at)gmail(dot)(com), I'd be happy to have the number on hand in case The Girl requires it. And thank you very much for offering to be available for helpfulness as she travels today.
Moo
