Christmas Tree thoughts

baronessekatas I'm working on putting up the Ancient Christmas Tree (it's at least as old as I am), I got to thinking back to my childhood.
When he was able to, Dad always put the tree up then strung the lights on it. After he was done, my sister and I would come along and put the ornaments on. Mom or Dad then put the metallic garland on and the angel topper.
That was the ritual. And Dad always insisted on the lights after the tree went up. Me, I put the lights on as I go so that I can get the lights deep in to give depth to the lights.
so I ask, those of you who have artificial trees:
