The new year has arrived and I actually finished part of a fun project for myself.

For years I have wanted a pair of fingerless gloves. I found a pattern in the most recent issue of crochet magazine so I grabbed some waste yarn I had around and have tried it. I've gotten on glove done and will soon start on the other.

it's not perfect but it's my first attempt at doing something that's not a giant strip of fabric (scarf) or flat of fabric(afghan). even the hat I've done has been a flat piece then stitched into a round.

Wow, your work is excellent.

But you either need to add in some kelly green or some royal purple to balance out the colors.

Actually, a chartreuse flair around the wrist would be awesome. And you might consider some black stitches between the fingers, so you can hike them up without leaving your hand knuckles out to freeze.

Fun stuff, baby! Keep it up.

absolutely. I even found an extra copy of the little booklet that I used to teach myself so you can have it.

awesome! I haven't gotten past the flat stage. I also can't read patterns so it limits what I can do to anything that's been shown to me physically.
