So I watched the Top Chef finale happily tucked up in bed with the boys.

With Kate still in VA and Dicea having had to go to NYC for work I'm once again puppy sitting Darcy.

Today has been adventures in sharing. Everything from rawhide chews, to toys, to momma's lap and now the bed. The only time they have not been "bickering" has been when they tag team the cat. True teenage brothers (they are 1.5 years old so in dog years that's adolescence).

Anyway, they finally settle down in bed and what do I notice? Full sized bed; while not petite, a not significantly large human; 2 chihuahuas = Human is getting crowded out of the bed.

I actually got up to adjust the puppies to make room for me again in the bed when I decided to instead come check LJ.

Yeah, they have me wrapped around their little paws.

Good thing they are cute.

I am so glad Hosea won instead of Stephan! I would have liked Carla to win, but she doubted her plan in favour of Casey's (which, I think, she'd done before, right? On one of the team challenged when she didn't SPEAK UP) and I hope she learned this time never, ever, ever to do that again. I thought she was one crazy chick early on in the competition, but she grew on me quite a lot. She was steady and didn't play any stupid games with the psychological warfare boys.

It would have been great to see her win, but Hosea worked hard for it all season long, too, and really, EITHER of them over Stephan.

totally agree. Anyone but Stephan.

And I am so pissed at Carla. She's proven she's a good chef but she needs to stop second guessing herself.

I'm glad that Hosea stuck to his vision and defended not having a dessert. Given the situation I would be there with him. They said there didn't need to be a dessert, just the best meal they've ever made. And if making a dessert would make it less than the best meal, then no dessert.

Stephan just needed to get his ego checked several times over. And I'm glad that the judges recognized the cocky attitude and did not reward it. Yes a top chef needs to have some ego but not to that level in a competition. Once he has several selves in the bookstores with his cookbooks, owns at least 3 restaurants and is a household name, THEN he can have the kind of ego that he currently has.

Not that I have an opinion or anything.

No lie. And y'know - the whole going and hugging Carla thing. Not impressed. He spent how many weeks proudly telling the camera that he doesn't give a fuck about anyone else in the competition but himself and *now* he's all "Oh, honey, it's okay"? What-evar.

And yes, agreed on the dessert thing. I'm glad Gail and Tom stuck up for him on that. They told them dessert wasn't *necessary* - so wtf was up with Toby being all "The meal didn't end". Sure it did. It just didn't end with a sweet course. Duh.

So what's up with work at this point? How is everyone handling it?
