I'm in the office today, though it was pointed out that it was probably not the wisest thing I could have done lately.

See the headache that I have been fighting all weekend (which more or less had me in bed all day yesterday) is still really raging. I can only see vague shapes out of my right eye, what I can see has trails and light hurts really bad right now. I also have a dull buzzing in my ears and am slightly nauseous. Yes, I have a full blown migraine going.

But I don't want to burn sick time this early in the year when for me I know I'm going to need it come fall/winter. So I'm sitting here at work, with as much light off as I can without effecting my co-workers and wearing my sunglasses.

Now, because of what happened to Aasiya, every boy as they come in has looked at me and asked if I was ok and how my weekend was. I have had to lift the shades to show them that no, I don't have any black eyes and that all I have is a migraine.

The concern in each of their faces and voices was rather touching.

Awwwwwwww

That is wonderful of them.

Now, if they make you a nest of blankets and pillows in the dark area beyond the stacks, you're gonna have to put out.

Good luck surviving the day, love, we're all pulling for you.

Boys - Further proof of how one horrible act has a ripple effect and affects the future behavior and choices of others.

Good luck hon. I hope the pain abates soon.

I am glad to hear they are looking out for you, and it is a nice reminder how nice boys can be.

I'm glad that they are pulling together and being gentlemen. It's not a bad thing that they are now clue-full as to what to look for. We only wish they knew it before. I hope you fell better.

Any idea what the trigger for the migraine was? You could avoid it in the future.

This is only FYI,please double check before acting on info I may give but.......
If the migraines occur on a regular bases and interfere with your ability to lead a normal life ,then you maybe considered disabled and have protection under the Americans with disability act{ADA} of 1990 and ADAA of 2009.It might be worth while checking out. just my 2 cents and we know that is worthless these days

Thanks Papa Boris.

Unfortunatley they do not occur frequently enough. They don't even occur for me frequently enough to justify asking the doctor for anything stronger than OTC meds.

I used to get them more regularly but they have tapered off. This is the first one I've had in months.

Total sympathy. I woke up with a nasty migraine too. The lights are pretty, in a way... but...

Wonderful Husband brought me medicine and water in bed. I am most lucky wife.

Sunglasses...

I picked up my sunglasses at the local welder's supply, they were class six cutting glasses. Can't drive with them on, because they block out the red spectrum, and you can't see brake lights.
