Foot Surgery

Well picture me as the Doctor, and Grimm as the child.

See, Grimm's favorite toy in the whole wide world is Foot. It's the foot off of his stuffed hippo. The other day I had to take Foot away because it had too many holes in it and he was pulling the stuffing out of it.

So this evening, I sat down and restuffed Foot and repaired all the holes. All the while, Grimmy sat at my feet and whined and watched very attentively while I fixed his bestest toy ever.

The pure joy in his eyes as I handed him the fixed toy and the bounce his his step as he ran off to play with it was all the thanks I needed.

Happy dogs are a good things.

Raccoon is sitting on the table waiting for similar repair. Kristina will be very happy when he comes back.

We call it "going in the dryer" and they stare and stare and stare until the stitching is done, and then it's like it's all new again.

He is definitely happy Foot is back. though I caught him latter looking at it almost whistfully as if thinking "You're not quite the Foot I remember". But if I can prolong the life of his favorite toy I will, because I know, no other foot will be the same.
