Well it's something

Had a performance review at work. Nothing I didn't expect as far as comments and places to improve. H was good and only evaluated the last 6-7 months (since the incident in february and he took over). Rather than any pay raises we get bonuses. I questioned it as far as bonus vs raise and he explained and showed the math that by doing the bonuses we actually get more and see more than if he had taken what we are getting and made it a pay raise instead, I at least would not see much of any increase in my take home pay. Right now I am not going to argue because frankly, right now I need the funds. It will be broken up over a couple paychecks but still.

It won't happen the paycheck I get in two days, but the next pay period.

It's something. It shows the board is appreciating the work we are doing. And it is nice to be told that my job is still secure (so long as the company exists) and I'm needed.

Thank you do mean a lot to me.

I've heard the bonus vs pay raise arguments and they never mention that pay raises are forever and bonuses are a one-shot deal. But it's better than a kick in the head...
