Starting a filter

I'm really trying to stay motivated and prove to myself that I can keep the Doma in a condition that does not make me embarassed to have even close friends over.

I had been doing this through my to-do lists. But I don't want to have people swamped with my lists and "go me" posts so I'm going to start a filter for "Cleaning".

If you want in, let me know.

I hope to do things like report my FLYlady progress, thoughts on the messes and tacklings there of, and my overall to-do lists. And even praise those of my friends who have joined the Chore Wars campaign. There's a few there. More are welcome - if you want an invite, let me know.

There's an LJ community called "partners in clean" which is (mostly) SCAdians with too much stuff and not enough house or time. It's pretty quiet, but you might find it a useful resource and support group.

I would like to be on the filter. Getting it done seems to be tough for me. But what is "chore wars?" I didn't click because I don't know what it is.

Chore Wars (www.chorewars.com) is a "D&D type game" kinda like the little games we have on FB. But you only claim "adventures" when you have done a real life chore.

Each party can make up their own chores and assign XP values for it and stuff. (My party has everything from doing dishes, making the bed, taking care of pets, doing your FLYlady daily task, etc). And we can also give treasures that can be silly or trade-able for real life stuff.

I find it a fun way to be accountable for my daily chores.

I was leary of www.flylady.net but after several people I know have tried it and praised it I said, "what the hell" as it couldn't really get worse.

You might want to give it a look. She's big on taking things in small steps.
