This and That

Finally got over the blockage with the yarn and the project for my sister. I finally gave up and rather than trying to use the same skein I have been trying to use for over a year, I said "fine, you don't want to cooperate, maybe another one will" and tried a different skein. Bingo. Progress has been made.

Today I had to go back to the dentist to smooth down some of the filling I got on Saturday. while there she helped me with the financial stuff and between her and the financial girl they reworked my treatment plans so that I can afford to get the root canal and crown I need to get. Originally they had tried to factor getting all the work (a couple fillings AND the root canal/crown work) done this calendar year. Only issue that my dental insurance only covers $1000 a calendar year. Which with what they covered I still had a HUGE copay to do. But they reworked it so if I do the fillings and root canal before 12/30 and the actual crown after the 1st of the year my copay drops from $864 to $89. At least for the remainder of 2009. Talk about a BIG difference. Then when the new year starts and my allowance is refilled we can talk payment plans for the crown.

So while I'm still not so happy about money, I"m not as panicked as I had been. Xmas is still going to be tight, it's not as bad as I had envisioned.

Glad to hear it! Money for Christmas is tight here too [always is ,it seems]All the auto work,water-tank,stove,fridge,etc. It is not easy to meet the monthlies as it is. So I am asking M and J to focus on enjoying the season and the reason for the season.Other than stockings we are allowed to do only 2 presents for each other. It should make us think about what we are doing and stop us from going overboard [like we usually do ].For others it will be little homemade things that cost little but should bring smiles.
