It arrived today. My sister thinks I'm totally insane as I started giggling and squeeing as soon as I saw the packing slip.

We put it together and outside right away.

It's an outdoor bubble light.

I have a fondness for them ever since I was a kid and would sit and just watch the antique ones on my grandparents' Christmas tree.

It's a single piece but the plug is designed that you can string a bunch together.

I love it and think it's the perfect level of Christmas tacky.

and you know what, it makes me giggle everytime I see it, so that's all that matters. Right?

I think it's cute! I was for some reason thinking it was small like the ones on the trees. It's like large lawn size! :D Christmas tacky is win!

I am so glad it got there before Christmas. I was worrying... but wanted it as a surprise, figuring it was one of the safe sorts.
Im very glad to have made you giggle.
I grew up with the same lights on my tree. They are still there but sometimes hard to find.
One year mom was able to find night lights for us. Hawk is going to plug his in for Christmas.

i noticed the old strand in my xmas box when i was doing cards. haven't plugged it in ages. but they are lovely to watch. good memories :)
