12th Night

For those who have not heard, at AEthelmearc 12th Night I will be taking my first Associate - jlbooth76.

Looking at the event schedule and seeing court is at 1:30 it will probably happen just before or just after court. I do not believe in taking associates during court. But those who are present and near when it happens are welcome to witness.

When a former Esquire doesn't like to do things the easy way she refers to the soon to be student/protege as Associate.

I never liked the term Protege.

even though I am one I dont but mainly because I cant spell it.

On the other hand as much as love Gavin the idea of him being my Master is just well silly. and Pseudo father figure is just cumbersome.

When a student of a Peer who really didn't have a title until well on 10 years into the relationship - at which point she began being called "Esquire" becomes a pelican and wants to take a student but not use the title "Protege" AND wants to pass on the red belt she was given by her Peer - the soon to be student is called "Associate".

Also said Esquire turned Pelican never likes doing things the easy way.
