Rather productive today

Today so far (and it's not quite 5pm yet) has been productive for me.
Interviewed and discussed possible employment opportunities. One sounds like a lot of work (though the money would be really good), the other one, routine but I could do very easily and still well within my salary requirements. Both positions are down town, which depending on their location, I could get to on the metrorail and save on gas and get weekly passes.
I went and got my eyes examined. The doctor says my vision has improved slightly in one eye (I can't recall now what one he said it was) and there are no signs of glaucoma or macular degeneration (both run in my father's side of the family)
I did not get glasses there. Despite the sales they were having one pair of glasses with the lenses I would have wanted, would have been well over $100.00. WELL OVER. (lenses without any coatings alone would have been $70+.) Instead I'm going the online route by recomendation of the wonderful
hugh_mannity and ordering them through http://www.zennioptical.com . Through them I ordered a pair of glasses with the high index lenses, anti reflective coating and a pair of the magnetic clip sunglasses for $58.85 (with shipping). The should be here in 2-3 weeks. For that huge a savings, I am willing to wait 2-3 weeks for the glasses. And it's not like I haven't waited this long to get them. (for those who are interested, I got these frames: http://www.zennioptical.com/cart/product.php?productid=1377&cat=20&page=1
If I'm as happy with them as Hugh is with his and the reports from others that I have heard who have ordered from them, once I have some more money coming in I might order a couple pairs for fun and interchangablity and maybe a plain regular pair of sunglasses.
Tonight is watching Biggest Loser, some kind of dinner, and crochet. Though crochet may get set aside to start the book that arrived today in the mail from paperbackbookswap.com.
