Thoughts
I only put half an onion in as my only onion was HUGE. Also9, I totally forgot to add the sage. But frankly I don't know if it would have helped. It was too meaty to be a hash brown and too potato to be a burger. I found the texture odd and the taste bland. Even adding shredded cheddar to half of them didn't really redeem this dish.
The cookbook calls for it to be a breakfast patty to replace a sausage and hash brown. Frankly, it felt like it should be a bunless burger - throw ketchup and mustard on it and have at.
This will not be going into rotation.
Rating a weak 2 out of 5 (it was edible, just not tasty or satisfying.
