Every year my friends Michael and Deidre throw a Christmas Party called "Grinchmas". The theme is the Grinch and we watch the Animated Grinch and the horrid Jim Carry movie.

But it's a potluck and this year I went looking for something different to bring and went to my new favorite evil site "Oh Bite It" and lo and behold, she had a thing called "Grinch Cake" Which I absolutely had to try and subject my friends to

Ingredients

1 box of yellow OR white cake mix (I used white)
2 ripe Bananas
Green food coloring
Green frosting (I used white frosting and added the coloring)
Chocolate sprinkles
A fun and enjoyable attitude..lol

Directions

In a medium/large bowl mix together the cake batter according to the box instructions.

Smash the Bananas with a fork and stir it into the batter.

Now pour the batter into your baking pan..I used a 9×4, shallow pan. Add swirls of the Green food coloring to the batter and swirl it around with a fork..evenly so you end up with a green, streaky cake!

Bake it at 350 for about 25 minutes, or until it’s firm and golden.

Let it cool…

Add a cap full or so of sprinkles into the frosting and mix it up. This will give the cake a nice, lumpy look..lol

Frost the entire cooled cake…

And then sprinkle the rest of the sprinkles on the top..

Thoughts

This went over really well. It was banana without being BANANA. Which I liked. I may have to make this again next year.
