I may be under caffeinated, (Ok, I haven't had any since dinner last night) and all but man that ranty post I made to a closed FB list felt good afterwards.

I probably could have been more tactful with those people but, frankly, the entitled attitude of all of them towards the thing got on my nerves. I am sorry, I can't schedule everyone for the same day and time. Not when I have to schedule 80 other time slots too.

I will probably feel a little bad later about it, but not much. And if it helps me get the thing done... then it helps me get the thing done.

You were not rude or less tactful than you should have been. While I am not volunteering with those folks this year (save the chance to ride along with my husband), I expected things to be a bit disjointed this year. Especially with personality and private issues clouding much of the volunteer pool.

thank you. And lo and behold, having the fit made people stop and reassess. Now I only have 11 of 96 time slots to fill and those are PC that I can fill with the Aussies once I hear back - which should be today.

AND everyone who has contacted me only has to work 3 shifts all war. Instead of the 6 that originally I had to threaten to get people to send an email.
